    1. I’m not sure about this one, and that’s part of the reason I posted it (I’m hoping a cousin will find it and provide some insight while I’m waiting to hear back from the historical society in Gallatin County). Clara Cook (Walton) Metier is a cousin a few generations back (her mother’s maiden name was Cook, and so was my great-grandmother’s); she’s the fourth from the right.

      Based on newspaper articles from The Montana Standard, Clara was a member of a number of clubs and organizations in town, and I’m guessing this was one of them. The club she was most heavily involved in was the “Grandmother’s Club,” but that wouldn’t fit this group yet! She joined that one in December of 1948.

      Plus, one of my “resolutions” was to focus more on the women in my family tree–they’re a cool group!
